Causes of the Civil War

Slavery is one of the main causes of the civil war. North and South
confederate of the us- south
union - north
caused by southern need for mass men to work in plantations
"conflicts exsisted from the birth of nation"

economic reasons as well
industrial v agricultural
free labor vs slave labor (north and south)
what means by nullifications of congressional laws
south in need of low tariffs.
north was okay with high tariffs and south wanted low tariffs.

north sold more. and south wanted to buy more things to make economy bigger- south mad because they weren't earning desired amounts.

recession of 1857
